The sermon focuses on Romans 9:30-10:13, discussing the contrast between the Gentiles who obtained righteousness through faith and the Jewish people who sought it through works of the law. The pastor emphasizes how the Jewish people, particularly the Pharisees, had great zeal for God but lacked proper knowledge, leading them to pursue their own righteousness rather than God's righteousness through Christ. The message highlights the importance of having both zeal and knowledge in our faith, warning against pursuing passion without biblical understanding. It concludes by emphasizing that while God is sovereign in election, humans are still responsible for confessing and believing in Christ for salvation. Key Verses are
Romans 9:30-31
Romans 10:9-10
Romans 10:13
1 Corinthians 13:8
